|To the right, cover art from
the Rich and Connie Shelengian CD "Oud
Vibrations", with the Shelengians pictured with a custom-made Merjanian
oud from 1979. The oud has two electronic pickups located under
the bridge attached to a quarter-inch jack for amplification.
Merjanian added a small strip of hard wood on the face to minimize wear
when playing in the higher registers. Photograph used courtesy

|Merjanian oud to the right is dated 12/12/91, and is not numbered.
Walnut and maple staves. Face has been replaced, with original
having had the maple strip above the large rosette (as seen in previous
photographs). Photographs courtesy Bob Arzigian.

I would like to have photographs of every Merjanian oud made, along
with the accompanying date on the label, and oud number. I am guessing that
the number totals less than 50. Any input would be appreciated.
