Manol (Manolis Venios) (1845-1915) was perhaps the most important oud maker of all time. His ouds are considered by many to be the finest ever built. While this website's focus is on Armenian oud makers, Manol (a Greek) was so important to all oud makers who came after him that it seemed appropriate to present at least one of Manol's ouds.
Those who trained at Manol's workshop include Onnik Karibyan, Hamza Usta, and Mustafa Usta.
